GSC Grays enhances management team

GSC Grays has strengthened its management team with the appointment of three new directors: James Bush, Rachel Morris, and Sam Cole. Additionally, Alice Bonas, a key member of the Planning and Development team, has been promoted to Associate Director. Jasmin Leetham has also been promoted to Associate Director and now holds the title of Head of Energy at GSC Grays.

Guy Coggrave, Managing Director, welcomed the appointments and said: “These promotions highlight the breadth of talent and expertise across the GSC Grays team and they come at a time of exciting growth for the company. I congratulate them all on their well deserved promotions and their new responsibilities.”

As well taking on his role as  director, James has become Vice Chair of the Farm Business Board. He joined GSC Grays in February 2023, bringing over 17 years of experience managing farming and sporting estates in North Yorkshire.

James supports clients with business reviews, budgeting and cashflows, stewardship and capital grant applications, and in hand farm management advice.

Rachel is head of valuations working across the North of England and her areas of expertise also includes secured lending, tax planning, taxation purposes (IHT / CGT), partnership / matrimonial disputes, pension funds and potential acquisitions.

After graduating from Harper Adams University in 2012, Rachel joined the Barnard Castle office, transitioning to the General Practice team in 2016. She became an RICS member and Registered Valuer in 2018

Sam became part of the Estate and Sporting Management team after graduating from Harper Adams University in 2018. A Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of CAAV, he manages estates in Northern England and specialises in upland properties.

Since joining in July 2018, Alice has played a key role in the Planning and Development team, managing large-scale strategic sites, negotiating agreements with housebuilders, and addressing nutrient neutrality and air quality challenges. She also specialises in telecoms mast lease renewals, Code agreements, and landlord tenant matters.

Joining GSC Grays in 2018 as a trainee surveyor, Jasmin now leads the Energy Team, overseeing the company’s energy projects. She brings extensive expertise in technologies such as battery storage, solar, wind, anaerobic digestion, and natural gas. Jasmin provides strategic advice on large scale grid-connected developments and smaller private-wire (behind-the-meter) projects. She also works closely with farmers and landowners on on-farm energy installations, helping to reduce costs and improve profitability.
