Who are we looking for?

We have graduate roles available in both the Farm Business and Land Management departments across our network of offices in the North of England.

The roles will provide both challenging and rewarding professional work undertaken on behalf of private clients. As such we are looking for graduates who are personable and hard-working, capable of completing work on time and to the highest of standards. The successful candidates are expected to be self-starters, comfortable with working autonomously and have a genuine interest in agriculture, land management and the countryside.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates seeking a career within the rural sector whilst also making a meaningful contribution to the growth and development of an expanding business. Commitment and hard work will be rewarded.

Our roles

Graduate Farm Business Consultants

We are looking to recruit Graduate Farm Business Consultants to join our Farm Business teams at Alnwick, Boroughbridge, Chester-le-Street, Colburn, Driffield and Kirkby Lonsdale.

Trainee Farm Business Consultants will gain experience in farm management, farm business reviews including the preparation of budgets and cashflows, contract farming and share farming agreements, Basic Payment, Environmental Stewardship and cross compliance advice. In addition, the expectation is that consultants will have an opportunity to develop a technical specialism in areas such as agronomy, dairy, beef and sheep, or the environment.

Graduate Land Agents

We are looking to recruit Graduate Land Agents to join our Estates, Farms & Land teams at our offices in Alnwick, Barnard Castle, Boroughbridge, Chester-le-Street, Colburn, Driffield and Kirkby Lonsdale.

Graduate Land Agents will be involved in the management of a diverse portfolio of rural estates as well as undertaking general professional work. The roles provide experience in property management, landlord & tenant, valuation, land use & diversification, agriculture, forestry, access & rights of way, and purchase & sale.

Our roles

Placement Students (Land Management)

Placement students will be involved in the management of a wide variety of rural estates as well as undertaking general professional work. The roles provide experience in property management, landlord and tenant, valuation, land use & diversification, agriculture, forestry, access & rights of way, and purchase & sale.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY (HARPER ADAMS UNIVERSITY ONLY)

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director within the Chester-le-Street office on a 12-month placement. In addition the company will make a contribution of £2,500 towards the successful scholarship applicant’s second year fees.

WORK HARD, PLAY HARD!

There are many opportunities to take part in staff socials, whether as part of a company-wide event, or organised by individual offices and/or teams.

We also have monthly ‘Wellness Wednesdays’ which offer a further opportunity for staff to get together, away from the screen to take part in activities unrelated to our daily work.
